A N   A C T

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY - SOIL CONSERVATION

     Introduced By: Representatives McEntee, Craven, Carson, and Fogarty

     It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 2-4 of the General Laws entitled "Soil Conservation" is hereby

amended by adding thereto the following section:

     2-4-21. Appropriation for state conservation committee.

     The general assembly shall annually appropriate such a sum as it may deem necessary,

out of money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the state conservation committee

created pursuant to §2-4-3 for the purpose of performing the function conferred upon it by

chapter 4 of title 2 relating to soil conservation, and the state controller is hereby authorized and

directed to draw their orders upon the general treasurer for the payment of these sums, or so much

thereof as may be from time to time required, upon receipt by them of properly authenticated

vouchers.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
