EXPRESSING SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF RICHARD E. WALSH | |

     WHEREAS, It is with utmost sadness that this Senate has learned of the untimely passing |
|

of Richard E. Walsh, beloved son of Darlene and Richard Walsh and the devoted brother of |
|
1-3 |
Alison Walsh; and |
|
1-4 |
     WHEREAS, Born in Providence, Mr. Walsh was a graduate of Toll Gate High School |
|
1-5 |
and had attended Northeastern University and Rhode Island College; and |
|
1-6 |
     WHEREAS, A resident of the Town of East Greenwich, Mr. Walsh was employed at |
|
1-7 |
Bob's Discount Furniture Store as a senior salesman and had previously worked at Raymour and |
|
1-8 |
Flanagan Furniture Store; and |
|
1-9 |
     WHEREAS, Mr. Walsh loved spending time with his family and enjoyed landscaping |
|
1-10 |
and classic movies. In addition to his parents and sister, he is survived by his grandfather, |
|
1-11 |
Raymond Walsh, and his aunts, Mary E. Ciunci and Barbara Sample and her husband, |
|
1-12 |
Charles. He was also the nephew of the late Edward Walsh, Sr., and Gilbert Ciunci, the grandson |
|
1-13 |
of the late Ann and Edwin Wickham, and Catherine Walsh, and the grandnephew of the late Very |
|
1-14 |
Rev. Edward H. Flannery; and |
|
1-15 |
      WHEREAS, The most fitting tribute to the memory of this remarkable young man would |
|
1-16 |
be a celebration of his life, a life where each and every day was lived fully and joyfully embraced. |
|
1-17 |
Richard Walsh enriched and inspired the lives of all who knew him and he will be dearly missed; |
|
1-18 |
now, therefore be it |
|
1-19 |
     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
|
1-20 |
hereby offers our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and friends of Richard E. Walsh; |
|
1-21 |
and be it further |
|

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
|
2-2 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Walsh and Family. |
