EXPRESSING SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF PAUL L. GAGNON | |

     WHEREAS, It is with utmost sadness that this Senate has learned of the untimely passing |
|

of Paul L. Gagnon, devoted husband of the late Karen Gagnon, and the beloved father of two |
|
1-3 |
daughters, Heather and Ashley Gagnon; and |
|
1-4 |
     WHEREAS, Born in Providence, Paul Gagnon was the son of Laurent and Louise |
|
1-5 |
Gagnon. He is survived by his brothers, Mark Gagnon and his wife, Suzanne, and Peter Gagnon, |
|
1-6 |
six nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and |
|
1-7 |
     WHEREAS, Mr. Gagnon had been employed by the City of West Warwick as a fire |
|
1-8 |
department dispatcher for the past seven years. In addition, he was a retired firefighter for the |
|
1-9 |
Central Falls Fire Department; and |
|
1-10 |
     WHEREAS, Dedicated to the community and his profession, Mr. Gagnon was a member |
|
1-11 |
of the Rhode Island Professional Firefighters Pipes and Drums Band, and a member of the |
|
1-12 |
American Firefighters Motorcycle Club; and |
|
1-13 |
     WHEREAS, Paul Gagnon was blessed with the love and loyalty of not only his family, |
|
1-14 |
but also his co-workers and countless friends. His spirit and determination in the face of adversity |
|
1-15 |
were inspirational and he enriched the lives of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed, but |
|
1-16 |
always remembered; now, therefore be |
|
1-17 |
     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
|
1-18 |
hereby posthumously honors Paul Gagnon on his service to the Central Falls and West Warwick |
|
1-19 |
Fire Departments and extends our deepest sympathies to the entire Gagnon Family on his |
|
1-20 |
untimely passing; and be it further |
|
2-21 |
     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
|
2-22 |
transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Heather Gagnon and Ashley Gagnon. |
