H O U S E R E S O L U T I O N

CONGRATULATING JONATHON LEDOUX ON ATTAINING THE RANK OF EAGLE

SCOUT

     WHEREAS, Not every boy, nor even every Scout, qualifies for the high rank of Eagle.

Strenuous physical hurdles, high mental requirements, strong personal character, indomitable

1-3

spirit, and a commitment to community service are a rare combination of qualities and

1-4

achievements to find in one person. Jonathon Ledoux is just such an extraordinary young man,

1-5

and his accomplishments are truly worthy and deserving of our recognition and praise; and

1-6

     WHEREAS, Jonathon Ledoux, a member of Troop 2, Woonsocket, quickly advanced

1-7

through the ranks to attain the rank of Eagle. Using his skills and abilities for the common good,

1-8

Jonathon earned the required number of merit badges and demonstrated his leadership skills.

1-9

Through perseverance and determination, he has attained the highest rank in scouting, the Eagle,

1-10

by meeting all the extensive requirements; and

1-11

     WHEREAS, Jonathon's Eagle Project was to take on the challenge of organizing a

1-12

collection of much-needed supplies on behalf of Family Resources. He successfully gathered

1-13

canned goods, diapers, and baby wipes to help young families in the City of Woonsocket.

1-14

Jonathon and fellow scouts devoted countless hours and an amazing amount of energy carrying

1-15

out his project; and

1-16

     WHEREAS, Jonathon Ledoux upholds the dignity and virtue of a true Eagle, and has

1-17

proven himself to be worthy of trust and a truly dynamic leader; now, therefore be it

1-18

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

1-19

Providence Plantations hereby honors Jonathon Ledoux on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.

Convinced that Jonathon’s distinguished career in Scouting will prepare him for a life replete

2-1

with accomplishments and success, we are certain that he will continue to dedicate a large part of

2-2

that life to the service of others. We extend our best wishes to Jonathon at his Eagle Court of

2-3

Honor on Sunday, June 23, 2013; and be it further

2-4

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

2-5

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Eagle Scout Jonathon Ledoux.
