RELATING TO MILITARY AFFAIRS AND DEFENSE -- BURIAL OF VETERANS | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |

     SECTION 1. Section 30-25-2 of the General Laws in Chapter 30-25 entitled "Burial of |

Veterans" is hereby amended to read as follows: |

     30-25-2. Appropriations for firing squads. -- The general assembly shall annually |
1-4 |
appropriate such a sum as it may deem necessary, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise |
1-5 |
appropriated, for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of section 30-25-1 |
1-6 |
sufficient to provide a firing squad of five (5) members, and a bugler for each funeral, and the |
1-7 |
state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw orders upon the general treasurer for the |
1-8 |
payment of such sums as may from time to time be required upon the receipt by the state |
1-9 |
controller of proper vouchers, approved by the adjutant general. |
1-10 |
     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
