EXPRESSING SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF | |

FRANCIS J. PIMENTAL, JR. | |

     WHEREAS, It is with utmost sadness that this House has learned of the untimely passing |
|

of Francis J. “Frank” Pimental, Jr., a well-respected member of the Bristol community and the |
|
1-3 |
loving husband of Nancy Pimental; and |
|
1-4 |
     WHEREAS, In addition to his beloved wife, Mr. Pimental is survived by his children, |
|
1-5 |
James Pimental and his wife, Maria, Joseph Bailey, and Mae Joly. He was also the father of the |
|
1-6 |
late Kevin Pimental, and the devoted grandfather of twelve grandchildren and two great- |
|
1-7 |
grandchildren; and |
|
1-8 |
     WHEREAS, Mr. Pimental was the son of the late Francis J. Pimental, Sr., and Evelyn |
|
1-9 |
Santos. He is survived by his brothers, Frank and Scott, his sisters, Jody, Lyn, and Betty, and |
|
1-10 |
several nieces and nephews; and |
|
1-11 |
     WHEREAS, Mr. Pimental had served our country for four years in the United States |
|
1-12 |
Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. A hard-working man, he had been employed by the Town of |
|
1-13 |
Bristol for thirty-two years, retiring as foreman. Most recently, Frank had worked as an assistant |
|
1-14 |
at the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home; and |
|
1-15 |
     WHEREAS, Committed to serving his community, Mr. Pimental had been a volunteer |
|
1-16 |
fireman for fifteen years and was captain of the Hydraulion Company. He was also a lieutenant |
|
1-17 |
with the special reserve, served on the Bristol Harbor Patrol, and was a member of the Elks and |
|
1-18 |
the Bristol 4th of July Committee; and |
|
1-19 |
     WHEREAS, He had loved the drum corps. Mr. Pimental had spent many wonderful |
|
1-20 |
hours as a member of the Warren Indian Band, the Royal Lancers, the Rhode Island Matadors, |
|
2-1 |
the Generations of Bristol, the Connecticut Hurricanes, and the Bristol Kingsmen and was an avid |
|
2-2 |
toy collector; and |
|
2-3 |
     WHEREAS, There is no doubt that Frank Pimental left this world a better place because |
|
2-4 |
of his life’s endeavors. He was a devoted family man and a steadfast gentleman and he enriched |
|
2-5 |
the lives of all who knew him. He will be sadly missed; now, therefore be it |
|
2-6 |
     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
|
2-7 |
Providence Plantations hereby expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of Francis J. |
|
2-8 |
Pimental, Jr.; and be it further |
|
2-9 |
     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
|
2-10 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Nancy Pimental and Family. |
