It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |

SECTION 1. Section 23-65-9 of the General Laws in Chapter 23-65 entitled "Board of |
|

Certification of Operators of Public Water Supply Facilities" is hereby amended to read as |
|

follows: |
|

23-65-9. Fees. -- A fee will be charged to each applicant submitting an application to the |
|
1-5 |
board, and shall be of an amount determined by the board to cover the cost of the examination |
|
1-6 |
|
|
1-7 |
fee shall be refundable if the applicant is deemed by the board not qualified to take the |
|
1-8 |
examination but shall otherwise be nonrefundable. A renewal fee shall be charged to each |
|
1-9 |
certificate holder at the time of renewal. The board shall be responsible for setting this fee which |
|
1-10 |
will cover only the direct cost of renewal certificate issuance. |

1-11 |
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
