It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
|

SECTION 1. Chapter 40-6.2 of the General Laws entitled "Child Care-State Subsidies" is |
|

hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
|

40-6.2-1.2. Increased rates in certain circumstances. – Licensed child care centers, |
|
1-4 |
certified family child care homes and licensed group family child care homes that participate in |
|
1-5 |
quality rating improvement systems (QRIS) or have received national child care accreditation are |
|
1-6 |
to be compensated in an amount greater than the current reimbursement rate through the |
|
1-7 |
department of human services child care assistance program (DHSCCAP) as set forth in section |
|
1-8 |
40-6.2-1.1. The department of human services will set the increased amount. |

1-9 |
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
