RELATING TO FOOD AND DRUGS - FROZEN DESSERTS

     Introduced By: Representatives Palumbo, Bennett, McNamara, Shekarchi, and Naughton

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 21-9 of the General Laws entitled "Frozen Desserts" is hereby

amended by adding thereto the following section:

     21-9-13.1. Licensed retailers to purchase from licensed wholesalers only. – All

1-4

holders of retail licenses shall purchase ice cream and ice cream products for sale under their

1-5

licenses only from the holder or holders of wholesale licenses under this title.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
