RELATING TO HOLIDAYS AND DAYS OF SPECIAL OBSERVANCE - K-9 VETERANS'

DAY

     Introduced By: Representatives Gallison, Azzinaro, Abney, McLaughlin, and Messier

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 25-2 of the General Laws entitled “Days of Special Observance” is

hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

     25-2-56. K-9 Veterans’ Day. -- The thirteenth (13th) day of March of each year shall

annually be set apart as a day to be known as “K-9 Veterans’ Day”. The day is to be observed by

the people of this state with appropriate exercises in public places and otherwise commemorating

1-6

K-9 Veterans’.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
