It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |

     SECTION 1. Chapter 25-2 of the General Laws entitled "Days of Special Observance" is |
|

hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
|
1-3 |
     25-2-55. Amateur Radio Week. – The week ending in the fourth full weekend in the |
|
1-4 |
month of June shall annually be set apart as a week to be known as "Amateur Radio Week." The |
|
1-5 |
week shall be observed by the people of this state with appropriate ceremonies and activities that |
|
1-6 |
celebrate the many contributions amateur radio operators have and continue to make in our state. |
|
1-7 |
     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
