INCREASING THE MAXIMUM TAX EXEMPTION OF THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF

PAWTUCKET

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Section 2 of an act entitled “An act to incorporate Pawtucket Boys Club, of

Pawtucket, Rhode Island passed at the January session A. D. 1902, and amended in the January

1962 session, further amended in the January 1987 session and further amended in the January

1-4

2002 session, is hereby further amended to read as follows:

     Sec. 2. Said corporation may take, hold, transmit, and convey real, mixed, and personal

1-6

estate to an amount not exceeding ten million dollars, which Property, real mixed, and personal

1-7

held and possessed by said corporation not exceeding ten twenty-five million dollars, shall be

1-8

exempt from taxation so long as said property shall be occupied exclusively for the objects set out

1-9

in this act of incorporation, and not other.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

     This act would grant an increase in tax exemptions from ten million dollars to twenty-five

million dollars from the city of Pawtucket taxes on all personal and real property owned by the

Pawtucket Boys Club.

     This act would take effect upon passage.
