EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF IRENE L. FERRANTE

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Irene L.

Ferrante, beloved wife of the late Daniel Ferrante and beloved mother of Beverly Burns, Brenda

1-3

Hudeck, Dennis Ferrante, David Ferrante, and Donald Ferrante; and

1-4

     WHEREAS, Born in Providence, Mrs. Ferrante was the daughter of the late Romeo and

1-5

Hanna Gervais. She is survived by her brothers, Richard and Donald Gervais, and her sister,

1-6

Doris Caruso.  She was also the sister of the late Beatrice Ferrante, Yvonne Colson, and Romeo

1-7

Gervais, Jr.; and

1-8

     WHEREAS, Irene Ferrante created a home that was warm and welcoming for her family

1-9

and where she happily doted on her nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; and

1-10

     WHEREAS, The very heart of her family, Irene Ferrante was a loving wife, a wonderful

1-11

mother, and a proud grandmother.  She enriched the lives of all who knew her and she will be

1-12

dearly missed; now, therefore be it

1-13

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

1-14

hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to the entire Ferrante and Gervais Families on the

1-15

passing of Irene L. Ferrante; and be it further

2-16

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to

2-17

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Beverly Burns, Brenda Hudeck, Dennis

2-18

Ferrante, David Ferrante, and Donald Ferrante.
