     WHEREAS, Funding for the developmentally disabled was decreased in the state’s 2011- |

2012 fiscal budget; and |
|

     WHEREAS, The state will receive an unanticipated “windfall” of tax revenue proceeds |
|

from the recent Rhode Island $336.4 million dollar winning lottery ticket sold in the state; now, |
|

therefore be it |
|

     RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated all proceeds from tax revenue received |
|
1-7 |
from the $336.4 million dollar lottery winnings to the budget line item for the developmentally |
|
1-8 |
disabled that were previously cut from the 2011-2012 budget. |
