RELATING TO STATE AFFAIRS AND GOVERNMENT -- STATE EMBLEMS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 42-4 of the General Laws entitled "State Emblems" is hereby

amended by adding thereto the following section:

     42-4-18. State sailing education vessel. -- The class A size Tall Ship, commonly known

as the “SSV Oliver Hazard Perry”, is hereby designated as the official state sailing education

vessel.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
