EXPRESSING SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ANNA M. CULLIS

      WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Anna

M. Cullis, a woman who was deeply devoted to her family. Born ninety-two years ago in

1-3

Providence to the late Adam and Johanna (Rosol) Opielawski, Anna was the wife of the late

1-4

James P. Cullis; and

1-5

     WHEREAS, Our thoughts and hearts hold great empathy and sorrow for her family. We

1-6

grieve with her daughters, Paula A. LaRocque and her husband, Rodney, Janice A. Hoover, and

1-7

Pamela A. Cullis and her partner, Meri Greenwald. She was the very proud grandmother of Julie

1-8

and Steven Motta, Jeffrey and Maureen LaRocque, and Christopher White and his partner,

1-9

Krystal Murphy, and great-grandmother of Amanda and Ashley Motta, and Marygrace, Teresa

1-10

Rose, and Jack LaRocque; and

1-11

     WHEREAS, Even though we are diminished by this loss and mourn the passing of Anna,

1-12

so must we celebrate the spirit, generosity, and courage with which she lived every day of her

1-13

life; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

1-15

hereby expresses our deepest sympathy to the family of Anna M. Cullis. She will be truly missed;

1-16

and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to the family of Anna M. Cullis.
