RELATING TO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - HIGHWAYS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1.The department of transportation is hereby directed to perform a structural

study of the Division Street Bridge within six (6) months after using the Division Street Bridge as

a detour for the Pawtucket River Bridge #550 Project. Upon completion of the study the

department of transportation is hereby directed to make all the repairs and upgrades needed to

ensure the long-term structural soundness of the Division Street Bridge.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

     This act would require the department of transportation to perform a structural study of

the Division Street Bridge, within six months after the detour is needed, and then to make all the
