RELATING TO PROPERTY

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Section 34-7-9 of the General Laws in Chapter 34-7 entitled "By Possession

and Prescription" is hereby amended to read as follows:

     34-7-9. Land preserved for open space and conservation purposes Land preserved

1-4

for open space, conservation or cemetery purposes. -- Any land held or preserved by a

1-5

nonprofit corporation or nonprofit association for purposes of conservation, or open space, or a

1-6

cemetery is not subject to adverse possession or prescription.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
