RELATING TO THE RETIREMENT OF POLICE OFFICERS IN THE TOWN OF | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
|

     SECTION 1. Section 6 of chapter 241 of the Public Laws of 2009 is hereby amended to |
|

read as follows: |

1-3 |
     Section 6. Each officer who has served a continuous period of thirty (30) years shall be |
|
1-4 |
retired. This section shall not apply to the chief of police. |
|
1-5 |
     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage and all acts and parts of acts |
|
1-6 |
inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed. |
