EXPRESSING OUR DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF WESTON G. | |

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Weston |
|

G. Wicklund, a resident and well-respected citizen of the Village of Chepachet; and |
|
1-3 |
     WHEREAS, The son of the late Milton and Mildred (Burdick) Wicklund, Weston was |
|
1-4 |
the beloved husband of Mary L. Wicklund, the loving father of Linda M. Schilling and her |
|
1-5 |
husband, Fred, and Sandra M. Wicklund; the brother of Clark Wicklund, Regina Diman, the late |
|
1-6 |
Milton Wicklund, Jr., and Hope Scott. Weston was the proud grandfather of Michael Schilling, |
|
1-7 |
Robert Prando, and Meghan Schilling; and |
|
1-8 |
     WHEREAS, A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Weston served his country with |
|
1-9 |
honor and integrity during the Korean War and will be interred with full military honors; and |
|
1-10 |
     WHEREAS, A loyal employee and industrious member of the Greatest Generation, |
|
1-11 |
Weston was employed as a manager with the Canteen Corporation for 35 years, worked for Coca- |
|
1-12 |
Cola in West Greenwich for 10 years and had been employed with RI Fruit and Syrup for the past |
|
1-13 |
5 years; and |
|
1-14 |
     WHEREAS, A devoted husband and hard worker, Weston’s life and achievements will |
|
1-15 |
live on for many years to come in the memories of everyone fortunate enough to have been |
|
1-16 |
touched by the quality of this remarkable gentleman; and |
|
1-17 |
     WHEREAS, Even though we are diminished by this loss and mourn the passing of |
|
1-18 |
Weston, so must we celebrate the spirit, generosity, and courage with which he lived every day of |
|
1-19 |
his life; now, therefore be it |
|

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
|
2-21 |
hereby expresses our deepest condolences on the passing of Weston G. Wicklund; and be it |
|
2-22 |
further |

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
|
2-24 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mary L. Wicklund. |
