of America (BSA) is one of our finest assets, providing young men with an educational program |
|
1-3 |
that contributes significantly to their character development, citizenship training, and improved |
|
1-4 |
mental and physical fitness; and |
|
1-5 |
WHEREAS, For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this |
|
1-6 |
country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of |

America knows that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and |

productive society; and |

Eagle Scouts have on society every day. Since the Eagle Scout rank was first awarded in 1912, |

support provided by their troop leaders and peers, these scouts have joined other high achievers |
|
1-17 |
who are Eagle Scouts, including astronauts, political and industry leaders, artists, scientists, and |

athletes; and |
|
1-19 |
WHEREAS, Boy Scout Troop 10 has earned recognition and praise for its ability to |
|
1-20 |
nurture the aspirations of its troop members, sustain their interests, and move them to successful |

completion of their goals; and |
|
2-2 |
WHEREAS, Attaining the rank of Eagle reflects positively on each individual Boy Scout, |
|
2-3 |
as well as on the many people who contribute to his efforts; now, therefore be it |
|
2-4 |
RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
