RELATING TO MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES - REGISTRATION OF VEHICLES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 31-3 of the General Laws entitled "Registration of Vehicles" is

hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

     31-3-93. Emeritus registration plates. – All emeritus registration plates issued as of

January 1, 2013 and thereafter, shall be subject to the provisions of section 31-3-17.1 with respect

to the cost of issuance and registration. The division of motor vehicles is hereby authorized to

promulgate rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of this section.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

EXPLANATION
