RELATING TO EDUCATION - UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 16-32 of the General Laws entitled "University of Rhode Island" is

hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

     16-32-32. Insurance for international sport - disclosure required. – (a) The institute

for international sport located in Kingston, Rhode Island shall immediately make available

1-5

information relative to payments made or referral commissions paid to any of the following

1-6

people within the last eight (8) years:

1-7

     (1) Accountants;

1-8

     (2) Attorneys;

1-9

     (3) Insurance agencies;

1-10

     (4) Elected officials; and

1-11

     (5) Business partners or associates of elected officials.

     (b) The institute for international sport shall provide a list of all political campaign

1-13

contributions exceeding one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) made in the last eight (8) years.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
