RELATING TO MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES - REGISTRATION OF VEHICLES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 31-3 of the General Laws entitled "Registration of Vehicles" is

hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

     31-3-92. Chief Judge Emeritus – Jeremiah S. Jeremiah, Jr. -- The administrator of the

division of motor vehicles is authorized and directed to issue a special registration plate for the

private passenger motor vehicle of former Family Court Chief Judge Jeremiah S. Jeremiah, Jr.

This plate is to bear the identification "Chief Judge Emeritus" with an appropriate number and

seal of the state thereon imprinted. The provisions of section 31-3-17.1 shall apply with respect to

the cost of issuance and registration.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

     This act would provide a "Judge Emeritus" registration plate for former Chief Judge

Jeremiah S. Jeremiah, Jr. at the same cost as a vanity plate.
