RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING JARED T.P. GULLUSCIO UPON ACHIEVING | |

SCOUTING'S MOST DISTINGUISHED HONOR, THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT | |

WHEREAS, Earning an Eagle Scout Badge is the pinnacle of achievement within the |
|

Boy Scouts of America. It is an exceptional distinction achieved by fewer than five percent of all |
|

the young men who enter scouting; and |
|
1-4 |
WHEREAS, Jared T. P. Gulluscio is a remarkable young man worthy of this prestigious |
|
1-5 |
achievement and his accomplishments are truly deserving of our recognition; and |
|
1-6 |
WHEREAS, Learning important lifelong skills and values, Jared T. P. Gulluscio of Troop |
|
1-7 |
10, Westerly Immaculate Conception Church, Westerly, Rhode Island, earned the required |
|
1-8 |
number of merit badges; and |
|
1-9 |
WHEREAS, As the highlight of his scouting years and to complete the final step toward |
|
1-10 |
obtaining the rank of Eagle, Jared carried out an extensive Eagle Scout service project, which |
|
1-11 |
consisted of designing and building two heavy duty produce tables for the food pantry at the |
|
1-12 |
Bradford Johnnycake Center in Westerly. The tables have been very useful in the distribution of |
|
1-13 |
fresh fruit and vegetables for the needy. His project demonstrated his involvement, concern for, |
|
1-14 |
and commitment to the citizens of Westerly; and |
|
1-15 |
WHEREAS, Jared also finds the time and energy to be an honors student, as well as a |
|
1-16 |
member of the Rhode Island and National Honor Societies. He is currently a senior at Westerly |
|
1-17 |
High School. After graduation, he plans on attending the University of Rhode Island to pursue a |
|
1-18 |
career in pharmacy; and |
|
1-19 |
WHEREAS, It is essential and fitting to recognize the triumphs of our youth and to |
|
1-20 |
celebrate the accomplishments of our future leaders. Eagle Scout Jared T.P. Gulluscio |
|

exemplifies everything an Eagle Scout should be and all that we hope our children will grow to |
|

be; now, therefore be it |
|

RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
|

Providence Plantations hereby honors Jared T. P. Gulluscio for all he has done to attain the rank |
|
2-5 |
of Eagle within the Boy Scouts of America; and be it further |
|
2-6 |
RESOLVED, That this House hereby extends our deepest appreciation to Jared for his |
|
2-7 |
untiring service to the community and for setting a high standard of commitment and dedication |
|
2-8 |
by which the youth of this great state may follow. We express our very best wishes to Jared T. P. |
|

Gulluscio for his Eagle Court of Honor Thursday, January 5, 2012. We wish him good health and |
|

happiness in the months and years ahead; and be it further |

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
