RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES -- SPECIAL REGISTRATION PLATE -- COVENTRY

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 31-3 of the General Laws entitled "Registration of Vehicles" is

hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

     31-3-76. Police chief emeritus. – The administration of the division of motor vehicles is

1-4

authorized and directed to issue a special registration plate for the motor vehicle of the former

1-5

police chief of the town of Coventry, Bruce Germani. This plate is to bear the identification

1-6

"Police Chief Emeritus," along with an appropriate designation number imprinted on it and shall

1-7

be furnished without additional registration charge for long as Bruce Germani so desires.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
