EXTENDING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF DOMENIC A. DISANDRO JR.

WHEREAS, Domenic A. DiSandro, Jr. was born in Providence, the son of the late Domenic A. and Maryann (McGowan) DiSandro; and

WHEREAS, A graduate of Hope High School, Class of 1943, Domenic continued his education and graduated from Providence College in 1949 and Boston University School of Law in 1953. He was admitted to practice before the Rhode Island and federal courts and was the president of the Domenic A. DiSandro, Jr. law firm; and

WHEREAS, Domenic was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church; and

WHEREAS, A deep commitment to his community and his country were marked by a multitude of contributions. Domenic was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member and legal counsel to the Narragansett Democratic Town Committee from 1955 to 1975 and a delegate from Narragansett to the Rhode Island Constitutional Convention. He also served as a probate judge for the Town of Narragansett from 1961 to 1979, and was the town solicitor from 1961 to 1971; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations hereby extends its sincere condolences and expressions of sympathy to his wife Elsie, and his children, The Honorable Domenic A. DiSandro III, Gayle F. Tarzwell, Donna J. Healy, and Debra A. DiSandro on the passing of Domenic A. DiSandro, Jr. He was a great man and will be sorely missed; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the family of Domenic A. DiSandro, Jr.
