     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of |
|

Kathleen A. Carpenter, a well-respected citizen of Cumberland; and |
|
1-3 |
     WHEREAS, Born in Pawtucket, Kathleen was the daughter of Roger and Doris (Drolet) |
|
1-4 |
Doire, the devoted wife of Edward Carpenter, the loving mother of LTJG Adam Maziarz and |
|
1-5 |
Andrew Maziarz, the stepmother of Heather L. Carpenter, Courtney B. Huard, Jonathan E. |
|
1-6 |
Carpenter, and Jennah R. Carpenter, the proud step-grandmother of Grant and Blake Huard, and a |
|
1-7 |
sister to Arlene Crawley, Carolyn Lefort, and Linda Bertozzi; and |
|
1-8 |
     WHEREAS, A wonderful wife, caring friend, and devoted mother, Kathleen was |
|
1-9 |
happiest spending time with family, proudly attending soccer games and graduations, pleased to |
|
1-10 |
see her children blossom into adulthood; and |
|
1-11 |
     WHEREAS, Kathleen was a true partner to her husband Ed, forging a life together that |
|
1-12 |
was grounded in love and respect, while creating a loving home for their family; and |
|
1-13 |
     WHEREAS, Kathleen’s kindness, warmth, and love of family will live on for many years |
|
1-14 |
to come in the memories of everyone fortunate enough to have been touched by the quality of this |
|
1-15 |
remarkable lady; and |
|
1-16 |
     WHEREAS, Even though we are diminished by this tragic loss and mourn the passing of |
|
1-17 |
Kathleen, so must we celebrate the spirit, generosity, and courage with which she lived every day |
|
1-18 |
of her life; now, therefore be it |
|
1-19 |
     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
|

hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to those that knew and loved her, on the passing of |
|
2-2 |
Kathleen A. Carpenter; and be it further |
|

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
|
2-4 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Edward Carpenter and Family. |
