EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ALBERT D. LOMBARDI | |

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Albert D. |

Lombardi, a resident and well-respected citizen of the Town of Cumberland; and |

     WHEREAS, Born in the City of Providence to Carmine and Elizabeth (Iannetta), Albert |
1-4 |
was the devoted husband of Virginia P. (Iannelli) Lombardi for 66 wonderful years, the loving |
1-5 |
father to two magnificent children, son, Mayor Charles A. Lombardi, and his wife, Carol, and |
1-6 |
daughter, Elizabeth J. Lanni, and her husband, Edward, and the proud grandfather of Charles |
1-7 |
“Chuck” Lombardi and his wife, Kim, Tarra Ferrara and her husband, Alan, Edward “E.J.” Lanni |
1-8 |
and Joshua Lanni, and great grandfather of Sloane Jacqueline; and |
1-9 |
     WHEREAS, In addition, Albert D. Lombardi made time in his life to serve his nation and |
1-10 |
the State of Rhode Island with honor and distinction as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. He |
1-11 |
was also a life member and a Hall of Fame inductee of the Wanskuck Boys Club; and |
1-12 |
     WHEREAS, Even though we are diminished by this loss and mourn the passing of Albert |
1-13 |
D. Lombardi, so must we celebrate the spirit, generosity, and courage with which he lived every |
1-14 |
day of his life; and |
1-15 |
     WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and a respected businessman as |
1-16 |
founder, owner, and operator of Luxury Cleaners, Albert D. Lombardi’s life and achievements |
1-17 |
will live on for many years to come in the memories of everyone fortunate enough to have been |
1-18 |
touched by the quality of this remarkable gentleman; now, therefore be it |
1-19 |
     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
1-20 |
hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to the entire Lombardi Family on the passing of Albert |

D. Lombardi; and be it further |

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he is hereby authorized and directed to |
2-3 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the family of Albert D. Lombardi. |
