A N A C T

RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION OF MARRIAGES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, the

Honorable Antonin Scalia, Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, may join

Karolyne Hu Cheng and Bryan A. Garner in marriage within the City of Newport, Rhode Island,

on or about August 8, 2010. The Honorable Antonin Scalia, Associate Justice of the United

1-5

States Supreme Court, is hereby authorized and empowered to join the foregoing persons in

1-6

marriage pursuant to and in accordance with chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled

1-7

“Solemnization of Marriages.”

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
