CONGRATULATING LEONARD HAIR TRANSPLANT ASSOCIATES ON THEIR 20TH

ANNIVERSARY

     WHEREAS, Twenty years ago, Doctors Robert and Kathryne Leonard of Narragansett

established Robert T. Leonard, Jr., D.O., Inc. also known as Leonard Hair Transplant Associates

in Providence, Rhode Island. Eventually the company relocated to Cranston with a satellite office

1-4

in Middletown; and

1-5

     WHEREAS, Leonard Hair Transplant Associates is the largest full-time surgical practice

1-6

specializing in hair restoration surgery in the State of Rhode Island. Dr. Leonard introduced a

1-7

new surgical technique in hair transplantation that was not performed in New England. The

1-8

procedure included sutured donor and recipient areas and no post-operative bandages for his

1-9

patients; and

1-10

     WHEREAS, Dr. Leonard became internationally known for his hair transplant

1-11

procedures. Due to his outstanding reputation in his field, he has been invited to lecture on his

1-12

techniques as well to discuss his thoughts on ethical considerations within cosmetic surgery. He

1-13

has traveled throughout the world including China, Canada, South Korea, Australia, Brazil, and

1-14

several countries in Europe. Patients from all over the world travel to Rhode Island to undergo

1-15

hair restorative procedures performed by Dr. Leonard and his surgical team; and

1-16

     WHEREAS, Leonard Hair Transplant Associates has grown to become the largest private

1-17

practice of hair restoration surgery in New England with eight offices within Rhode Island,

1-18

Massachusetts, and New Hampshire; and

1-19

     WHEREAS, On Saturday, April 18, 2009 Leonard Hair Transplant Associates will

celebrate both twenty years in business as well as the 50th birthday of its founder and Chief

2-2

Surgeon Dr. Robert Leonard at the Hotel Viking in Newport, RI; now, therefore be it

2-3

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

2-4

hereby congratulates Leonard Hair Transplant Associates on their 20th Anniversary; and be it

2-5

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to

2-7

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Leonard Hair Transplant Associates.
