EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF TERESA EVANGELISTA | |

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Teresa |

Evengelista, the beloved wife for forty-nine years of Romolo Evangelista, the devoted mother and |
1-3 |
mother-in-law of Edward Evangelista and his wife Renee, and Richard Evangelista and his wife |
1-4 |
Mia; and |
1-5 |
     WHEREAS, Born in Providence to the late Arduino and Angelina Maceroni, Teresa had |
1-6 |
three sisters, Jennie Esposito, Elena Venditelli, and the late Brigida Cioe, and |
1-7 |
     WHEREAS, Teresa Evangelista’s loving personality created and nurtured a marriage that |
1-8 |
flourished, and a home that was warm and welcoming. She doted on her family, particularly her |
1-9 |
grandchildren, Alex, Edward, Richard, Gianna, and Robert; and |
1-10 |
     WHEREAS, Teresa’s caring nature made her the kind of mother and grandmother that |
1-11 |
every child needs and deserves and her consideration and thoughtfulness produced a warm and |
1-12 |
supportive relationship with her daughters-in-law; and |
1-13 |
     WHEREAS, In addition to her family life, Teresa was a faithful communicant of St. |
1-14 |
Augustine Church; and |
1-15 |
     WHEREAS, Teresa Evangelista was the heart and soul of her family. Her |
1-16 |
kindheartedness and sincerity will forever be indelibly imprinted on the lives and in the cherished |
1-17 |
memories of her entire family. She enriched the lives of all who had the good fortune to have |
1-18 |
known her and she will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
1-19 |
     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
1-20 |
hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to Romolo Evangelista and the entire Evangelista family |

on the passing of his beloved wife, Teresa. She will be forever remembered as a devoted wife and |
2-2 |
loving mother; and be it further |
2-3 |
     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
2-4 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Romolo Evangelista and Family. |
