EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF

MICHAEL D. RICCITELLI

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Michael

1-2

D. Riccitelli, devoted husband of Anne, and loving father of Michael Riccitelli and his wife

1-3

Diane, Robert Riccitelli and his wife Michelle, Karen Lefebvre and her husband Leo. He was

1-4

also the doting grandfather of Tara, Michael, Robert, Matthew and Andrew; and

1-5

     WHEREAS, Born in Providence, to the late Michael and Mary Riccitelli, Mr. Riccitelli

1-6

had been a long time resident of the City of Warwick. Upon graduation from LaSalle Academy,

1-7

Mr. Riccitelli attended Bryant College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree; and

1-8

     WHEREAS, Mr. Riccitelli served our country with honor and distinction in the United

1-9

States Army, and later with the Rhode Island National Guard. A conscientious and hard-working

1-10

man, he had been employed in the insurance industry, most recently as a marketing representative

1-11

and officer at American Universal Insurance; and

1-12

     WHEREAS, Active within the community, Mr. Riccitelli was a Scout Leader for the Cub

1-13

Scouts, and a coach for the Warwick Little League, where he had the double pleasure of spending

1-14

time with his sons, and sharing the intricacies of the game of baseball. He was a Eucharistic

1-15

Minister and communicant at St. Kevin Church, and he and his wife started the HSA at St.

1-16

Kevin’s School; and

1-17

     WHEREAS, Mr. Riccitelli was adored by his family, had the admiration and respect of

1-18

his peers, and was blessed with many friends. He will be profoundly missed by his brother

1-19

Vincent, late brother Ray and his "best friend," Senator William Walaska. He enriched the lives

2-1

of all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it

2-2

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

2-3

hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to Mrs. Anne Riccitelli and the entire Riccitelli Family

2-4

on the passing of Michael D. Riccitelli; and be it further

2-5

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to

2-6

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Mrs. Anne Riccitelli and Family.
