CONGRATULATING CHRISTINE F. ACETO ON THE OCCASION OF HER

GRADUATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND

     WHEREAS, Christine F. Aceto is the daughter of James and Lisa Aceto, and is a lifelong

resident of the Town of North Providence. Over the course of her short lifetime, she has already

1-3

distinguished herself by attaining a profundity of honors and accomplishments; and

1-4

     WHEREAS, On May 20th of 2007, Christine attained her Bachelor of Science degree in

1-5

Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from the College of Business Administration, at the 121st

1-6

Commencement Ceremony of the University of Rhode Island. The Magna Cum Laude academic

1-7

standing requires a student to achieve at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and is an

1-8

honor awarded to only a small percentage of each graduating class; and

1-9

     WHEREAS, The ultimate triple threat, Christine possesses not only beauty and brains,

1-10

but she is also tremendously talented. She has danced with the Ramettes, a skilled dance team

1-11

who perform at URI basketball games and assorted school functions, throughout her college

1-12

career; and

1-13

     WHEREAS, In addition to her rigorous schedule at URI, Christine joined the staff of the

1-14

Rhode Island State House in May of 2002, working for the Senate as a legislative aide. She is a

1-15

tremendous asset and has earned the unqualified admiration and respect of her fellow workers as

1-16

well as members of the Senate; and

1-17

     WHEREAS, Christine has brought so much joy to her parents, has set a commendable

1-18

example for Justine and Anthony, her younger siblings, and has created a future for herself that is

1-19

dazzling with promise and potential; and

     WHEREAS, There are always young people who rise above the rest, who dare to dream,

2-2

and are willing to endeavor to make those dreams become reality. Christine Aceto is just such an

2-3

exceptional young lady, and her accomplishments are truly deserving of our recognition and

2-4

praise; now, therefore be it

2-5

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

2-6

hereby congratulates and applauds Christine F. Aceto on attaining her Bachelor of Science,

2-7

Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Rhode Island. The entire membership extends best

2-8

wishes for her continued success, good health, and much happiness; and be it further

2-9

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to

2-10

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Ms. Christine F. Aceto.
