S  E  N  A  T  E     R  E  S  O  L  U  T  I  O  N

RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES TO CREATE A PLAN FOR PEDIATRIC PSYCHIATRIC ADMISSIONS

RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations hereby respectfully requests the Director of the Department of Health or his or her designee and the Director of the Department of Children, Youth and Families or his or her designee to create a plan to ensure that pediatric psychiatric admissions are coordinated to allow admissions to appropriate certified facilities; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Department of Health and the Department of Children, Youth and Families shall evaluate state health planning legislation to require a pediatric psychiatric plan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Department of Health and the Department of Children, Youth and Families shall prepare said plan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to the Director of the Department of Health and the Director of the Department of Children, Youth and Families.
