It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Title 11 of the General Laws entitled "Criminal Offenses" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following chapter:
{ADD 11- 62-1. Community restitution. -- ADD} {ADD The general assembly hereby declares that the words "public service" which appear throughout this title shall now be substituted with, and referred to as "public community restitution". ADD}
SECTION 2. Title 12 of the General Laws entitled "Criminal Procedure" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following chapter:
SECTION 3. Title 14 of the General Laws entitled "Delinquent and Dependent Children" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following chapter:

{ADD 14-7-1. Community restitution. -- ADD} {ADD The general assembly hereby declares that the words "public community service" which appear throughout this title shall now be substituted with and referred to as "public community restitution". ADD}
SECTION 4. Chapter 23-18.2 of the General Laws entitled "Preservation and Care of Burial Places and Memorials For the Dead" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

SECTION 5. Chapter 31-27 of the General Laws entitled "Motor Vehicle Offenses" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

SECTION 6. Chapter 45-6 of the General Laws entitled "Ordinances" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

SECTION 7. Chapter 4-1 of the General Laws entitled "Cruelty to Animals" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

SECTION 8. This act shall take effect upon passage.
