| EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATION DATES AND AMENDING THE PURPOSE AND MEMBERSHIP OF THE SPECIAL JOINT LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY AND PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS TO PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES FROM PLASTIC BOTTLE WASTE |

| RESOLVED, That the special joint legislative commission created by resolution No. 443 |
| passed by the House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2023, and approved June 14, |
| 2023, entitled “Joint Resolution Creating a Special Joint Legislative Commission to Study and |
| Provide Recommendations to Protect Our Environment and Natural Resources from Plastic |
| Bottle Waste”, and passed by the Senate at its January session, A.D. 2023, and approved June 14, |
| 2023, entitled “Joint Resolution Creating a Special Joint Legislative Commission to Study and |
| Provide Recommendations to Protect Our Environment and Natural Resources from Plastic |
| Bottle Waste” is hereby authorized to continue its study and make a report to the General |
| Assembly on or before April 25, 2025, and said commission shall expire on April 30, 2025; and, |
| be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the purpose of said commission is hereby amended to include glass, |
| aluminum, and nips in the product list that the state needs to identify pathways to improve its |
| ability to address and recycle; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That said commission is hereby amended by increasing the membership to |
| twenty (20), one of whom shall be appointed by the Speaker of the House, and one of whom shall |
| be appointed by the President of the Senate; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 443, passed by the |
| House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2023, and approved June 14, 2023, and |
| passed by the Senate at its January session, A.D. 2023, and approved June 14, 2023, be and the |
| same is hereby rescinded. |
