| RELATING TO STATE AFFAIRS AND GOVERNMENT -- STATE EMBLEMS |

| It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: |
| SECTION 1. Chapter 42-4 of the General Laws entitled "State Emblems" is hereby |
| amended by adding thereto the following section: |
| 42-4-21. State marine mammal. -- The harbor seal is hereby designated as the official |
| state marine mammal. |
| SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
