A N A C T

RELATING TO HOLIDAYS AND DAYS OF SPECIAL OBSERVANCE

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 25-2 of the General Laws entitled "Days of Special Observance" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

25-2-46.1. Rhode Island Blue Star Parents Day. -- The first Sunday after Mother's Day annually shall be set apart as a day to be known as "Rhode Island Blue Star Parents Day." This day may be observed by the people of this state with appropriate exercise in public places that celebrate the many contributions Blue Star Parents have and continue to make in our state.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
