A N A C T

RELATING TO HOLIDAYS AND DAYS OF SPECIAL OBSERVANCE

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 25-2 of the General Laws entitled "Days of Special Observance" is

hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

25-2-55. Amateur Radio Week. – The week ending in the fourth full weekend in the

month of June shall annually be set apart as a week to be known as "Amateur Radio Week." The

week shall be observed by the people of this state with appropriate ceremonies and activities that

celebrate the many contributions amateur radio operators have and continue to make in our state.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
