RELATING TO HEALTH AND SAFETY -- CEMETERIES -- VETERAN HEADSTONE MEMORIALS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 23-18 of the General Laws entitled "Cemeteries" is hereby

amended by adding thereto the following section:

23-18-15. Installation of veteran's plaque. – Any cemetery which accepts the remains

of a military veteran for burial shall install, for a maximum charge of seventy-five dollars

($75.00), the plaque issued by the Veterans' Administration to the deceased veteran, on the

veteran's gravesite.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
