A N A C T

RELATING TO ELECTIONS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Section 17-5-2 of the General Laws in Chapter 17-5 entitled "Statewide

Referenda Elections" is hereby repealed.

17-5-2. Questions ordered by governor. -- The governor shall have the power to order

the secretary of state to submit any question or questions that he or she shall deem necessary to

the electors at any election.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
