A N A C T
RELATING TO THE TOWN OF EXETER
-- TOWN MEETINGS

It is enacted by the General
Assembly as follows:
SECTION
1. Section 1 of Chapter 1574 of the Public Laws of 1917, entitled "An Act
to
Authorize the Town of Exeter to
Hold Taxpayers Town Meetings" as amended by Chapter 4 of
the Public Laws of 1991 is hereby
further amended to read as follows:
Section
1. The electors of the town of Exeter, qualified to vote upon any proposition
to
impose a tax or for the
expenditure of money in said town, shall annually on the third (3rd)
Tuesday of May at eight seven
o'clock (8:00) (7:00) in the evening, assemble in town meeting at
the Exeter-West Greenwich Regional
High School in the town of West Greenwich, Rhode Island,
for the purpose of hearing
financial reports, ordering of taxes, making appropriations and for the
transaction of such other business
as may legally come before said meeting.
SECTION
2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
