AN ACT

RELATING TO DISSOLUTION OF THE TIVERTON BOARD OF WATER

COMMISSIONERS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 116 of the 1975 Public Laws entitled “An Act

Providing For A Public Water Works System In The Town Of Tiverton, And Authorizing The

Town Of Tiverton To Issue Not Exceeding One Million Dollars In Bonds For Water Purposes,” is

hereby amended to read as follows:

Sec. 1. The Tiverton board of water commissioners shall be dissolved without any

further act by the general assembly. Any undischarged liabilities, if any, of the Tiverton board of

water commissioners shall remain liabilities of the town of Tiverton.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon the transfer of all assets of the Tiverton board

of water commissioners to the North Tiverton Fire District and the filing, with the town clerk of

Tiverton, of an affidavit documenting said transfer of assets.
