It is enacted
by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 28-6.2-1 of the General Laws in Chapter 28-6.2
entitled "Physical Examination as a Condition of Employment" is hereby
amended to read as follows:
28-6.2-1. Cost of physical examination. -- Whenever any employer requires a physical examination prior to employment, the cost of the examination shall be paid by the employer whether or not the prospective employee is hired.
Any employer who fails to comply
with the provisions of this section shall be subject to a fine of two hundred
dollars ($200).
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
