RELATING TO HOLIDAYS AND DAYS OF SPECIAL OBSERVANCE -- COMBAT VETERANS

Introduced By:  Representatives Menard, Ferguson, Coderre, Burlingame and Iwuc Date Introduced:  January 26, 2000

SECTION 1. Chapter 25-2 of the General Laws entitled "Days of Special Observance" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

25-2-43. Combat Veterans' Day. -- The third Saturday of April shall annually be set apart as a day to be known as "Combat Veterans' Day." The day is to be observed by the people of this state with appropriate exercises in public places.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
