RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION OF MARRIAGES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Congressman Michael Thompson of District 1, the 1st Congressional District of California, may join Kristen Marie Cotta and Brian David Pendleton in marriage at a place within the town of Jamestown on May 20, 2000. Congressman Michael Thompson of District 1, the 1st Congressional District of California, is hereby authorized and empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in accordance with chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages."

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
