(1) On page 1, lines 16 through 19, and on page 2, line 1, deleting the following language:
"Provided, however, that on or after January 1, 2006, all subcontractors performing work for a CATV system exempt under this section shall hold a Society of Cable Television Engineers (SCTE) Broadband Premises Special (BPS) certification or a telecommunications system contractor license issued by the Rhode Island telecommunications licensing board."
(2) On page 3, delete the following language on lines 19 through 23:
"(13) On or after January 1, 2004 and every five (5) years thereafter, all telephone and CATV companies exempt under this section shall submit their training curriculum to the state board of examination and licensing of telecommunications systems contractors, technicians, and installers for their advice on how best to update training to reflect changes in codes and technology."
