CONGRATULATING NANCY FRASER ON HER RETIREMENT AFTER THIRTY-TWO | |
YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AS A TEACHER | |

1 | WHEREAS, Nancy Fraser is a proud graduate of Rhode Island College who began her |
2 | exemplary teaching career shortly after graduation. She served as a substitute teacher in East |
3 | Providence, followed by two years at Sacred Heart in East Providence, and three years as a |
4 | substitute teacher in Scituate; and |
5 | WHEREAS, For twenty-four years, Mrs. Fraser taught full-time in Scituate and touched |
6 | the lives of more than 500 students and their parents, with her excellence and her passion for |
7 | making a positive difference in the lives of all of her students; and |
8 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Fraser taught Kindergarten for one year, and first grade for the next |
9 | twenty-three years. She was employed at all of the elementary schools in Scituate, beginning at |
10 | Clayville Elementary for eleven years, Hope Elementary for six years, and finally at North |
11 | Scituate Elementary for seven years; and |
12 | WHEREAS, First and foremost in Mrs. Fraser’s life has always been her family, |
13 | including her husband of forty-four years, Scott, their three children, Bethany, Jeffrey and |
14 | Kimberly, and her grandson, Hudson. She took time off from her career to raise her children and |
15 | make a home for her family. She is now looking forward to a summer of reading on her porch and |
16 | moving on to the next chapters in her life; now, therefore be it |
17 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby congratulates Nancy |
18 | Fraser on her retirement after thirty-two years of distinguished and dedicated service as a teacher. |
19 | We furthermore wish her a most happy and healthy retirement and continued success in all her |

2 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
3 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Nancy Fraser. |
