J O I N T   R E S O L U T I O N

RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF HEALTH AND HUMAN

     SERVICES TO INCREASE ADULT DENTAL AND CHIROPRACTIC RATES

     WHEREAS, Pursuant to Chapter 8 of Title 40 "Medical Assistance", the Executive

Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) has the authority to set rates for Medicaid

services; and

     WHEREAS, To ensure better care for Medicaid members requiring dental and

chiropractic services, the EOHHS needs to implement increased mobile dentistry and chiropractic

rates; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this General Assembly of the State of Rhode Island hereby

respectfully requests that the Executive Office of Health and Human Services increase mobile

dentistry and chiropractic rates; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Secretary of the Executive Office of Health

and Human Services.
